FFXI didn't really start until lvl 18 when you got a subjob or lvl 30 when you got ninja depending on your play style.

WoW didn't start until you were at the current level cap.

D&D online didn't start until you were high enough to start raiding The Shroud (lvl 16 I think.)

Even non-MMO games have a different feel early game, mid-game and late game. Considering that we've seen, maybe, 5% of what the current state of the game has to offer it's a given that it will feel different later.

I still wanted to start farming Satascha until we all had full sets though. BTW, looking at the third tier hunter's log, I think Tam-Tara Deepcroft is lvl 25ish, Toto-Rak is lvl 20; Hauke Manor is still 30. Also, also, damn am I glad the DNA has been lifted. I didn't realize how much I wanted to talk about ARR.

Even if it's only beta, I feel really overwhelmed with all the stuff there is to do. O_o
I can't imagine how brand-new players must feel >.<

The conjurer nerf is unfortunate, but I suppose it had to happen at some point. In post-revision 1.x conjurer was the ultimate solo class, and that was a little strange to say the least.
Obligatory level-syncs are a bummer, but Yoshi-P really likes Guild Wars 2 it seems, so I guess it's to be expected.

In any event, I'm really enjoying the new Eorzea and the story seems to be well-crafted, which is something Square hasn't been able to achieve in a very long time.

I really want to get my character back and get some data saved soon. :3

I just noticed how close we're getting to the end of June.. time flies when you're having fun! :)

Bales you would be waiting a long time on those dudes to get up to par anyway. Plus we have chemistry…you and I.

Sera I agree with the overwhelm, and it will undoubtedly be worse when we have all level 50s at our disposal with no clue what every ability does because we didnt level with those abilities. There is certainly going to be a learning curve.

Isle I agree with farming Satscha. Lets get to it first thing tomorrow when servers go up. Spam that dungeon a few times, get everyone a good set going, then move to the next one. What time do servers go up tomorrow anyway? I'm never good with the conversions…

2 a.m. Pacific is 5 a.m. Eastern tomorrow morning. Logging in within the first ~3 hours is going to be a chore if not impossible. I'll be on after work until the wee hours of the morning.

RE: Overwhelming amounts of stuff to do - This is probably due to how methodical and patient I am, but I didn't feel overwhelm by the amount of stuff to do. I had already done everything in Grid during phases 1 and 2. Getting everything not class specific done in Limsa took less than 10 hours. The murder spree and dungeon crawling with Bales, Mag, and Neimi filled the other 6 hours I played last weekend.

That said, I am overwhelmed by the combat. I prefer not having to watch battle logs AND cool downs AND AoE rings AND how the mob is placed AND keep an eye out for adds. Watching Bales jump around like Mario on meth during the goblin NM fate that was in the middle of a goblin camp was beautiful to see, but I know that I can't do that. Just thinking about trying is making me shaky.
