I'm just trying out this whole new "job flexibility" concept so I'm up for it. Within the week I'll have MNK, BLM, BRD and PLD geared competently enough to do things. Not spectacularly but better than AF lol.

AV I can go whm, brd, or blm. Sadly, I do not have a monk for Miser. I am going to be getting on that soon. I am most experienced and geared for it on whm. Bard I think I have a better idea of since I five chested w/ you guys and blm I just need to get a few upgrades and can do okay. I would be asking a lot of questions I've probably asked before if I can't find it on google. I must admit not having monk for the end is a big check minus for me, I know this. Not gonna QQ if I can't get a spot. It's all good.

CC I really only know this on whm so I would be all the derp. I could go in on blm but again I would be pretty clumsy for a few runs. I do not feel comfortable at all trying CC on brd yet. I would be porting to the beginning and things while trying to find chests.

I'm looking into spell rotations and combos for blm/ and weapon skills and combo rotations for bard on boss fights. Right now I just kind of hit shit not on cooldown to make something else glow then hit that and try not to aoe when I shouldn't. I'm really new to this dps stuff.

I'm thinking, to help people with the strategies I'm going to grab the maps off of Mozk and post them up here. That way we can maybe have a map with paths and whatnot drawn on it to help people better visualize the strategies for running through the areas. It would also be nice to have them so that people can put them on a mobile device if they'd like and use that instead of tabbing back and forth. If nothing else I feel like this would help me with it.

Mobile device is a good idea. I hadn't thought of that. ^_^ b

The paths shouldn't be hard as long as you are not tanking and thus being the one who leads everyone around. One of our main issues as an ls group is not the path, but very slow reaction times from a few individuals once we get to where we are going. Still, maps don't hurt.

As for the runs themselves I can offer my services, but will be honest in saying that since I decided to gear up I am getting burned out. I pick a class, try to gear it, get punted off the class because someone else decides they'd rather do it so I pick a new class and I am pretty much being punted off that one as well. It's great to have multiple classes geared, but the game has turned into the whole mmo-sacrifice-your-fun-for-someone-else thing for me. Getting increasingly hard to stay motivated.

tldr; I will help as long as I can stand playing, but a heads up that I am considering an early 2.0 break because this game is starting to feel like a job.

Alright, put a .rar together for the maps. There's the clean versions and then the Mozk versions in there.

@PT I can understand what you mean. I would rather be healing. I kinda just recently sold all of my materia last night I was saving to make myself a white mage healing potency hat to gear up my blackmage so I could have that better for some things too only to realize I was still far from having a monk 50 for Miser. It is discouraging.

One thing popping in my mind though is that in all of the speed runs I did a few months ago (on my whm) the group always had one person on bard for AV and for CC and they stayed on it the whole time for both dungeons and it worked really well. They would always 5 chest it unless they had mass d/c or something. It's nice having the same bard.

I did AV as bard last night. On one run it went pretty kinda okay, but yeah it def isn't for me lol Bard dungeoning is a different kind of monster than barding in primal fights. If you're going on their runs you should def run as the dedicated bard. You have the chests down and your gear on your bard is really nice so you do better dps on it too which is bonus.

I think the only time I seen the dedicated bard hop out of bard was for the ultra 17 min speedy run they were trying to get relic quest item but even then was still bard like 99% of the time. If you jump in on this beast you should bard it up ^_^ b

I picked up some new pants and shoes for my blm today but I will need to look into spell rotations and I still need to make my mob resistance cheat sheet, but I was thinking if I can't do whm much in this (if there is a spot) I could maybe go on my blm. I used to blm in XI so I know I can do it just got to dig around the old noggin for the dps file.

Would never turn down a chance to work out my one trick pony whm though lol.

In these runs its usually 4 dps that do the switcharoo from blm to monk. I dont even think they need to hop off blm in CC anymore. 17 min runs I think one of the healers goes dps and maybe the bard hops out to monk it up on miser in AV.

Don't risk burn out mmo breaks can be good if anyone starts to feel toasty. I am crispy on the edges.

just my opinions. take w/ a grain of salt .

@Arcell thanks for the maps :] http://ffxiv.mozk-tabetai.com/ is a fantastic site. I was using it last night.

I understand, it's a shitty situation sometimes. Hopefully in having enough people with enough jobs geared we can allow more people to play on the jobs they want depending on what we need. Part of the problem arises from when we only need one of something like Tanks or Bards in some runs. The other side is when we need an excess of a specific class and only certain people have it, it forces them to use it because we need it.

I know I'm kind of late to the party here but I'd be willing to change to whatever if others have a preference. I mean my preference is Monk but it's situational so any one of the other three jobs I'm trying to gear up are just as well as the others to me. If we can shuffle things around and allow more people to play what they really want out of what we need I'll do what I can to help that process.

Sure. Do you have any idea on how you're going to schedule it Bales? The fall semester is drawing close, so I have to be careful with times ^.^;
