Found an awesome map translation that was done by Tiny Mandragora on the FFXIVpro forums (link at the end of post).
The maps provide a lot of detailed information about the dungeon and should be a lot of help for people who aren't familiar with the area. I hope this helps to give members a better understanding of the dungeon or reaffirms the information that is already established.
Right click image to save or open in a new tab for the large version.
There is also a detailed map of Cutter's Cry, which I will post into the the CC thread.
As a side note: I am personally not going for the Mage's Halfgloves, Mage's Earring or the +1 gear that the guide calls for. Yes, some of it can be easy to obtain if you have gil and/or the luck. I don't have either. I know that sounds selfish in a way, but I'd rather keep playing the game for fun rather than to grind so hard that I end up burning out and quitting. If others want to go for it, power to you.
Only watched up to the coincounter death, want to say a few things about that though:
So it seems that melee are completely viable for Coincounter, they just need to know to run the fuck away from 100 tonze. The range on it doesn't seem to be that huge, took everyone a second or so to clear it. With the ranged classes standing at the safe spot, you only have to run that far to clear the range. I'm doing this on Monk from now on if I'm not tanking lol.
They destroyed Coincounter and they only had to worry about the slugs in the immediate area. I would love to try things this way. Instead of class stacking, we could actually have some fun on this one.
A friendly reminder for everyone that the group in the video above is a well known hardcore shell that runs end game content quite a bit successfully. We don't even run it once a week and as far as I know we've only killed Coincounter once as a group. Granted, that kill was not a class stack win. We are also significantly slower than they are, mostly due to the lack of practice we have as a shell and the fact that we do a lot of swap outs.
I am not a fan of class stacking, but for learning encounters enough to get them on farm status (which we don't have on CC or AV) it is quite useful. That said, if we decide to forgo the range strat on Coincounter then I ask that melee take responsibility for any slugs they awaken. It would also probably be a good idea to implement a 1 raise per attempt limit so as to not drain mp resources.
