Okay, so I feel like we are quickly gaining people (or gaining people levels) so that we could feasibly start doing Ifrit/Moogle runs, and I would like some ideas on how to do it, reward-wise. This is what I have so far:
Keep whatever totems you get
Give totems to point-leader, then 2nd, etc etc until that person has x totems (5? 10?)
Once everyone gets x totems (5? 10?), THEN start giving totems to point leader until they have 20, then go down list.
I feel like typically it would be option 1, and then either option 2 or 3 could be if we ever had like a many hour primal farming session, which I don't think there will be too many, if any, of.
I'm 4/7 for the weapons and really am just looking for two more. I can always assist in totem drops once I get the two I weapons I am looking for.
On a side note, another LS of mine has a pretty good DKP system. Every time a member gives a Totem/Nut away, they earn 1 point. They have to say they will be giving the totem away before the fight. You then can claim those points freely for totem/nuts. This would help people who have all Ifry weps still want to help out with fight. Then, come moogle, they can redeem their points for Nuts. This could also work for upcoming primal fights.
^I like this ideaAssuming you can only go for a weapon if you have the corresponding class leveled high enough to use it… Which I think is fair.
I think that it would also encourage people to attend/assist even if they plan on skipping Ifrit/Moogle spoils all-together, but may be unable to attend or have to frequently miss other events… Thus, needing a way to earn points and not fall behind everyone else.
I think this would work, except I think the totem/nut point count may have to be done separately, so people who don't have 50 jobs don't get too far behind, at least for now.
I kinda like the idea, and do think it's fair. But I'm not sure on all the specifics.
A person goes, gives away their totem, gains a point. I imagine they have to specify not only that they are giving away their totem, but also who that totem is going to if it does indeed drop?
Sneak could you lay out the system in detail when you get a chance?
I say a need before greed system should be done. We should specify a primary and secondary (MAYBE tertiary) class choices and you can only go for those weapons first. Once you have those 2-3 you pass on totems or whatever to other members that do not have all 2-3. THEN once everyone has 1-2 weapons, you can reset your list.
Or maybe make it a time limit or run limit before you can reset your list. Say every 3 months you can change your list of classes or after x number of runs you can.
Ok we all know weapons are unique/untradable right? So this will only work for tradable things (in this case the nuts and totems.)
So in my other LS, we are trying to gear some archers with Ifrit bows via the totem-trading way. Some members are already 7/7 on all Ifrit weapons so they have no use for the totems, but they still come and assist because if they get a totem drop, they can trade it for 1 DKP point. Now, since they don't need anything from Ifrit, they can exchange that 1 DKP point for a nut drop @ Moogle. Thus, them still contributing to Ifrit, AND get dibs on nut drops on Moogle.
You don't have to specify who the totem goes to… can just do a /random. In the other LS case though, since we are trying to get ready for Moogle, they seem to be giving the totems away to the ARCs needing Ifrys bow.
I think this would work, except I think the totem/nut point count may have to be done separately, so people who don't have 50 jobs don't get too far behind, at least for now.Silvano Conri
Yeah it might have to be done separately. It really just depends what you will be DKPing for I guess.
