The rest of the thread is very interesting too. I have been wanting to try an all INT setup for my BLM, as expensive as it will be, I have seen evidence leading to the fact that MAG ATT (Which is what my build focuses on) has stunted effects on dLevs higher than 50. INT raises the potential damage on mobs over this level. Therefore, for endgame, you get more bang for your buck (quite literally) with higher INT than MAG ATT.
I'm going to try and see if I can find more INT gear. Also, INT mega-potions may be a good investment in my future.
What do you guys think? 150+ DPS on Miser? Like the sauce?
I think the concept is to zerg it so hard that the air cleans up pretty quickly. With red fruit on everyone, that isnt an issue anymore, right? We dont need Blue if we kill it so fast the red will work.
Its worth a try. Could be fun if nothing else. I'll whip of some Mega-Potions of Int and toss them your way Mag. Just remind me in game because lately I seem to have the memory span of a goldfish, and will likely forget.
I went over this strat in the AV thread, but I might as well go over it again. Here is the gear list to pull this off for those of us who haven't read the strat yet, a "mix of single and double melds":
Weapon: Lightning Brand with INT Shield: Aubrest's Allegory Head: Felt Cavalier Hat with INT Body: BLM AF Hands: Mage's Halfgloves Waist: HP Belt or Grid Belt Legs: Sorcerer's Tights or Woolen Tights with INT Feet: Mahogany Pattens with M.ATK
This is pretty pricey to pull off. In the other thread I said I am not going out of my way to drain my time and what little gil and inventory space I have doing this and I'm sticking to that, so you guys will probably have to do it without me. Nothing against the run, but I am avoiding activities that would turn this game into a job. Good luck.
