They finally effing listened to us and are releasing a Software Token for smart phones today! (Won't be able to use until maintenance is over at 12 PDT tho…)

What happens if I lose my phone though? That's my only worry with this system. I mean I guess it would be the same with the physical token that the battery could run out. :x

Likely the same as if you were to lose your token, though there may be more info for SE to deactivate the one-time password temporarily with if it's on the phone. Moral of the story: Don't lose your phone :p

There is an emergency deactivation code that they provide. Not sure how it works tho.
