So just before I leave for the beach my computer decides to crap out on me. I was playing a little Minecraft when my computer restarted on its own. Every time I tried starting it up again it gets to the Windows loading screen and then restarts. Tried starting in Safe mode and Last Know Good configuration to no avail. After a while it gave me this error: "NVRAM checksum error, NVRAM will be updated to default, press ENTER to continue".

So I wanted to get some input before I start replacing things left and right lol. Any thoughts as to what has broken down on me?

So I researched a bit, went into my bios settings, loaded optimal defaults and it seems to be working now. Pressing enter on that error message didn't seem to do anything but this worked. Any idea on what exactly was causing the issue?

Random virus? Almost always using system restore (to the point right before it happened) will alleviate your problems.

Doesn't mean it was a virus. Could be anything, but the few times I have got BIOS problems it's usually do to an unexpected power failure or cooling issues. Easy enough to fix, but might want to double check if your computer isn't shutting down safely or is running too hot if you haven't already.
