Absolutely amazing book, if you like to read i'd say it's a must, you definitely need to check this book out.

Notable series:
The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan(long, good, some slow sections)
The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind(long, good, not as slow as WoT, but does go into detail somewhat)
Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin(except you all probably know of this, as Game of Thrones)
Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson(Really good trilogy, nowhere near as deep as WoT or SoT, at least in terms of detail. Much shorter books as well)

Cleric Quintet by R.A. Salvatore (the guy who pretty much invented Kingdoms of Amalur)

we have similar taste Silv, those books sound AWESOME. i have "The wheel of time" and i reallllly like Robert Jordan's writing, The series is so damn long though!!!!!

Magician: Apprentice by Raymond E. Feist. … all of the fantasy novels this guy writes are AWESOME , really fun reads, and great writing too.

I won't spoil the ending.

There is technically no Kindle edition yet, so I didn't buy House of Leaves. I did glance at the excerpt at Amazon.com. The entire time I read it I pictured Mr. Danielewski hovering over my shoulder, giggling like a gradeschooler and chirping "Ask me what it means.[sup]1[/sup]" Granted, like I said, I haven't read the book in it's entirety so maybe I am missing something.

I like to give as I take, so here's the things I read this week. Quality varies:

The Emperor's Edge
A fantasy / steampunk book aimed at younger teens about a patriotic woman with not so great ideas and the band of ruffians she puts together for (insert plot spoilers here). It has its wtf-this-is-stupid moments and you will probably see every plot twist coming at you a mile away but I enjoyed it for what it was.

Banana: The fate of the Fruit that Changed the World
It's a book about Bananas. It's kind of rambly and comes off as an opinion piece, but if you can get past that it's not a bad book I guess. If you already have a generic knowledge of Bananas and their troubles then you won't learn anything new here.

Blood and Sunlight: A Maryland Vampire Story
The first half of the book is about domestic violence. The second half of the book is about Vampires fucking on top of a moving train in the middle of a storm. That sounds so much more entertaining than it actually is. Not worth the price I paid, which was free.

Reality is Broken: Why Games Make Us Better and How They Can Change the World
Ever watch a TED speech where the speaker kind of rambled on and on and while you kind of knew what they were trying to say they didn't really say much or have anything important to add to the issue they were addressing? That's this book.

To Desire A Scoundrel
A short (and very often free on Kindle) story that reads like a typical boring romance until the main male lead starts thinking about desks in the middle of a heated sex scene. Yes, I just spoiled the best part of the book.
