I didn't see plumes until Aerial Blast, either. I think they damaged her fast enough to skip the first batch(es) of plumes since the entire fight was over in under 10 minutes. The runs I've been on we didn't see plumes until the 4-5 minute mark and she didn't Aerial Blast until we got her to 50% which typically took over 8 minutes.
I have been reading and hearing from people all week who are a little down about Garuda and talking about how we aren't geared enough to pull it off, pointing to videos of decked out parties beating her almost effortlessly in under ten minutes. While that may be true that some of us could probably use a few upgrades, I do want to say that we have had a few attempts where we have cleanly made it into the second phase. While min maxing your gear never hurts, a majority of us have the gear requirement now. We just need the tactics and teamwork.
Take the video that was recently posted by Silvano on the front page, the one with one of every class present. It's not just because they had pretty good gear that they were able to do more damage. The melee, all working as one unit, pulled off their AoE at the same time as plumes spawned with the ones that were somehow not killed immediately picked off by the archer, leaving the melee free to do damage on Garuda herself until she did her blast and up until the point she mass summoned plumes before her 2 hour. This kind of timing comes with practice.
It's easy to get frusterated at new content and I am not asking anyone to enjoy chewing glass over and over again. But I will say that I think that we can do this fight. Maybe not as perfectly as some of the well-oiled-machine hardcore shells that ground it out for hours over several days to get their strat down, but it is doable if we work together.
nice post Pt, i agree, we started to handle the plumes alot better mass aoe'ing when they spawned' we're getting better at it clearly… 8-9 pillars left at 2 hour, we're getting better ^^
2.to prevent damage to the rock the tank stand between garuda and the rock
That makes soooooooooooo much sense lol. You can stand in front of the rock, blocking it from harm. Can't prevent damage to the other 3 but every bit helps.
A. mistral shriek - she appears at either north south east or west end you will need to dash immediately to the opposite side B. mistral song - she jump in the air and land at the tank. possible to avoid if you crowd behind her.
Also very good to know. At least we'll know if she's going to the edge or to the tank.
I think the only thing I need to do different is stop trying to run behind Garuda in Phase 2 when she spawns on the edge and just run to the other side. Back when we were still doing it I wasn't aware you could just run away from it lol.
I very easily have managed to just run to the opposite side of her when she pops. If you watch the mini-map, it seems to give away her positioning prematurely.
