Done with the R43~46 Wild Hogs in Gridania, 30 kills per parse. Not super precise, but interesting nonetheless. After 10 kills I added in DS and CT, and from 21-30 added in Jump.

Stats: STR: 339, PIE: 294, APow: 549, ACC: 358
DMG: 13478 | Accuracy: 98.37%

Stats: STR: 324, PIE: 279, APow: 549, ACC: 388
DMG: 16642 | Accuracy: 98.92%

Higher AVG and Crit% with less Acc…thought Acc% affected Crit%? Think I just need to test with higher-level mobs. This also means that 330 and 290 still leave the Hart uncapped.

Could just be random data too. How many times have you run this test?

I wasn't aware Accuracy affected Crit. I mean I thought it was still Dex, though it's not listed. Though to be fair, Evade also isn't listed under Dex in the 1.20 patch notes lol.

Accuracy effects crit in that you hit more and therefore have more chances to crit. If you stack attk/crit instead of acc, sometimes you will get a lucky streak and do more damage than someone who has better acc. But you are also less reliable in that damage. It's a trade off. Of course, this is assuming that you are not above your acc soft cap.

…This is also assuming that SE isn't crazy and put in weird stat connections for the fuck of it. But who knows with them?

There is going to be some minor fluctuation in numbers in any test. 60 kills (2 tests at 30 kills each) isn't enough to make any conclusions. I am interested though and would like to see more tests, with the number of hits included in the data to figure out what the melee soft cap (or the DRG soft cap, if it is different than the other melee) is and whether or not it can be tied to crits in the manner suggested. I don't have your gear, but I can jump on my DRG and try and help collect data if you'd like.

Yeah, that's pretty much what Seiko said (the guy who id the 3000 try testing). It was more of I want to figure out where my cap is on the Hart than anything ^^

Well then I'd say accuracy indirectly affects crit rate, in that it allows you to hit more often which means you have a chance of critting on each of those hits. It doesn't actually push the rate itself higher, just gives you a greater number of chances.
