Personally i'm super sad there is no frost bitten tundra in the current version these mfers better add an expansion and give me some snow to romp around in ASAP! On the subject of Roega-dames (and new races in general)

The new character creator is supposed to feature emotes and such so you can see your character in action (somewhat) before you commit.

Also, I am completely down with a Viera (human/bunny/kangaroo hybrid?) type race. Someone need to show these kittens how to be a sexy demi-human… The cutsie act wears off fairly quick.

They have recently mentioned that bust sizes are going to changeable (which really refers to the torso… but of course people flock to tits), not to mention there is tons of sexual & immoral innuendo, mention of alcohol, and moderate profanity already in the game.

I am all for it, it would be nice to have a mature version of what the Miqo'te tend to represent… The Mithra in FFXI were all warriors and shit (ignoring the how they pawned over that Manthra… That was so out of their character).

But, I like that they are giving us a choice of gender in each race. I have no doubt if they did add a Viera type female, they would also add a male counterpart. Like those demi-human guys, lead by Ice-T in Tank Girl (they kind of remind me of Veira's race).

On the new poll for zone wishes… Snow zone for sure.

Altepa Desert was really just an elaboration of the barren Gustaberg (and for all intensive purposes Thanalan) and The Elshimo region is likely the bastard inspiration to the already annoying Black Shroud (of which another is definitely not needed). Also, there are already beaches in several areas of La Noscea, which isn't a surprise because it generally adheres to the traits of La Thiene Plateau (Of which Valkurm Dunes was an extension… There is even a small Selbina-like beach-post). So I can't say I am really missing/wanting them so much. Even Mor Dhona is somewhat a ramped up Qufim Island.

But a snowy, mountainous, and foreboding area like Beaucidine, Xarcabard, or Uleguerand Range would be awesome. Those zones were ominous and such a great setting for those torrential treks to Castle Zvahl and Fei-Yin, which almost always lead to some epic battle. It's really the only "type" of area I think the game is really lacking.

In the beginning those areas were synonymous with certain death at a whim… It was where veteran's went to steel themselves. (pre-75 days up to ToAU, for the most part)

On a side note: My second choice would've been interest in the redesigning of areas/cities/nations/etc.

Yes, snow and ice with big ass mountain ranges FTW. Creates a nice environment for some unique monster design as well as interesting locales for hard to reach dungeons, etc.

I'm all for some snow capped mountains and glowing ice caves. They could really do some interesting things with XIV's weather and particle graphics.

I want to have my vision impaired by dynamic snowstorms and kicking up flecks of ice and snow and dirt while we run to SHIT! I FELL INTO A HOLE AGAIN!

That trailer gave me goosebumps. I like the score.

The fact that Dalamud dropped only one of its spikes into the world in the trailer means there could be more crystal towers at other locations. It's either an intentional design feature or shoddy Allagan worksmanship.

Every asset was revisited and improved. With as little as 10 per cent of the existing game’s assets being ported over, the rest is a new game with maps, battle systems, story and characters deleted and redesigned. The new game even has an apt new title: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

That part especially was surprising to me. Perhaps that's why the dungeon achievements are going away? Entirely new dungeon designs hopefully.
