Okay, now that the shell is up and running and we have a lot of 50s and are confidently doing most end-game content, we have decided to adjust the DKP system as follws:
Pick-up/non-scheduled events no longer are worth any DKP. 1pt per DKP event on the calendar only.
Any keys (think: Beastmen Stronghold) are given in DKP order, assuming the top DKPer wants that key.
Chests (think: Dzemael/Toto-Rak) are done in the following order: DKP Order (only those who have the job listed as a main/secondary), Anyone who can equip the item, /random, Birthday, Game Activation Date, Height, Mother's Maiden Name, Grandmother's Married Name on your Mother's side, Rock Paper Scissors, Trip Around The World, Magnus' Cat gets it.
The last one I know can seem confusing, so here's a couple of examples:
Item: <Lancer/Dragoon Item> P1: 15 DKP, Dragoon Secondary P2: 10 DKP, Dragoon Main P1 gets it since s/he has the higher DKP.
Item: <Archer/Bard Item> P1: 15 DKP, Dragoon Main, Warrior Secondary P2: 10 DKP, Paladin Main, Bard Secondary P2 has first dibs since s/he has the job listed as a main/secondary job.
But Silv, how can I pick a main and secondary and let you know?! Good Question. Put it in your signature! You can do this simply by clicking the drop-down arrow next to your name and clicking settings.
We always set it up on the 1st at the latest…and we always have events Thursdays, some Fridays and some Saturdays. It's still not strict, we're just getting rid of pick-up DKP and setting clear guidelines for looting :)
