I can't see the ls schedule still so idk what's going on there. I remember you guys starting a lot of things at 8 est though. I don't have a full time or even part time job right now so it's whatever. Thinking about going back to my part time job but that will be a couple weeks away.
This isn't really a scheduled thing. Just a static for Garuda attempts. Probably starting on a Monday or Wednesday. Is everyone cool with trying this next week?
I should probably follow the rules of the forum, so requirements if you want in: Be properly geared. Know your class. Usual common sense stuff. Etc.
It's a bit short notice, but let's try for this Monday. If we fall short, Wednesday. If it was just too short of notice for folks that's cool. I'll put a (non-DKP) events up on the schedule if the site will let me.
I've already done my cranky thing with this today, but since I have to go through this every Monday I am putting it down again here.
The Monday "static" Garuda practice is for people who are ready to go, geared for it and have some knowledge of the fight. This is not a sign up event and is only on the schedule as a black event to remind people that it exists. It is not an official LS event. It is also not for people who are not ready for the fight to masturbate in a corner while 7 other people do all the work for the eventual wipe. I admit, I am sounding pretty mean right now. But maybe I'd be a little nicer if I didn't get people whining at me every damn Monday about how "people who signed up are not in the party" or "I deserve a spot more than you because I have never done Garuda before." I treat people as I am treated and, quite frankly, some people in this shell treat me like shit.
If you are one of the people who have complained at or about me and what an "elitist bitch" I am and that previous paragraph flew over your head, let me put it another way: We have the top geared people in the shell who are relatively knowledgeable about that fight in Garuda every Monday, trying our best to learn it to a point where we can possibly bring in someone who doesn't know/care about playing well, and we have never beat it as a shell. Close, but close doesn't count. On top of that, some of us are joining pick up groups to learn new tricks and to keep at the top of our game during the week. If the best players in the shell can't do it now, how do you think we will fare with some of the lowest geared and skilled present?
If you want to do Garuda in the static, gear up for it. If you are geared up for it, show us (there are more doing Garuda than just me after all) you can do it by doing well in our LS events such as AV or CC. Learn the paths and do decent DPS. Trust me when I say that if you kick ass, everyone is going to notice. If you are not willing to put in the work to do better then please be patient until we get good enough to be able to carry you.
