This cat can do this for like 20 min straight multiple times a day. I've never seen a cat roll around this much. Anyone else have a cat that does this to this extent? I am thinking he likes to roll so much because he is chubby? lol He is pretty active and likes to play outside but he is bigger than the other cats.

Warning: I talk to animals and sound like a complete dork >.<

Awwwww is he your kitty Niko? You're such a good kitty-mommy :3 .

I think he was rolling side to side to see stuff or to just do some scratching. Sounds like cat stuff to me!! There are pets with all sorts of "strange" behaviours out there. That's just what makes em unique! :)

My kitty Talho use to do this a lot or just lounge around on her back. . . how i miss her!

I had a cat named Moose 2, really skinny cat, that was scared of all my other pets. Really early in the morning when all the other animals were upstairs and I was downstairs working he would go to a specific carpet on the floor and do the whole slow flip on his back thing until I walked over and gave him attention in the form of a back scratch. Might not be why your cat does it, but there's my experience.

Thanks for your input guys ^_^

Yeah Sera, this cat is pretty much mine. There are barn cats that just showed up one day but they are just there for food nothing much else this one has an interest in people and I like him. I am pretty attached to this one, he is goofy like me. He will perch himself in strange places and then like fall randomly sometimes. At least he is well cushioned.

Balon and PT, you had cats that did this pretty often you say. And Moose 2 was a skinny cat. There goes my enjoying his chubbiness theory. That's cool so maybe not so terribly strange lol. A part of me wonders if he has brain damage sometimes.

I even asked our friend the vet if Leo had anything wrong with him that could cause him to do this so much but she said he checks out fine. When I worked for the clinic I didn't see cats roll around but they didn't have much room in cages and most weren't glad to be there so maybe that's why.

I am more familiar with dogs. Leo kind of reminds me of a dog because he is a little clingy and not as aloof as most cats I've been around.

Talho and Moose 2 sound like very cool cats. PT, I lived with a Great Dane named Moose for years lol. He was a big moose.
