A FF-based rhythm game coming out for the 3DS in July. If you don't like rhythm games, you'll probably think this looks fucking stupid.

However, since I do like rhythm games, I'll definitely be giving this one a shot. Looks like it could be some fun.

I don't have very good coordination, but I would love to try this game out. It looks like a lot of fun :)

Not too sure if I'd be able to appreciate all its aspects since I haven't played many FF titles, but if it has the Ronfaure theme, that's good enough for me! lol

I am really excited to get this also. I really love rhythm games. Rock band, Audiosurf, DDR all awesome. Rhythm game to FF music should be incredible.

But I will have to try and track down the 3DS around here >.< idk where it is.

This looks awesome and makes me weep for the fact that the 3DS is a region locked system. I may just have to go cry in a corner clutching my Ouendon now :(.

So after playing this I have to say it's a lot of fun and especially nostalgic if you've played the titles included. It covers FF1-13 so far and has 5 songs from each: the opening, one battle song, one field song, one event song and the ending.

There's also DLC for this title. They are available at the rate of $0.99 per song which I think is reasonable, especially since they are all separate so you can pick and choose. Contrary to popular opinion though, these might not be DLC simply because they couldn't fit anymore songs onto the cartridge, though that may be part of it. There are songs in the game as part of Dark Notes (not DLC) that are not available in the main scenarios or challenge mode. I haven't seen any overlap between these songs and DLC yet but that may be the case.

Track list is as follows:

Final Fantasy

Prelude (Opening)
Main Theme (Field)
Battle (Battle)
Opening Theme (Event)
End Theme (Ending)
Mt. Gulg (Field/Dark Note #6)

Final Fantasy II

Epilogue (Ending)
The Final Battle (Battle/DLC)

I got a few moments just now to try this game out, and I'm finding it really fun. ^.^b
Thanks for bringing this game to my attention it's good stuff (maybe cos it wasn't developed by Square loooool!), and I'm a beginner with rhythm games. I don't know nearly as much about Final Fantasy as most of you do, but I'm having a blast seeing Shantotto running around! :D

Well as a Beginner, if you play the game a bit, I'd suggest going through all the campaigns first. They're set to the Basic difficulty so it shouldn't be too tough. Then try out some of the ones in Challenge mode (basically free play) on higher difficulties. The Dark Notes get pretty difficult so I'd suggest trying those later.
